Mass Damnation is a Groove Metal band based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Formed by Tony Jayathilake and Nirodha Jayasinghe; Mass Damnation arose from the ashes of their former project Sword Of The Spirit, which disbanded due to musical and ideological differences between members.

Since their inception in 2010, Mass Damnation have been on an ear crushing crusade creating a unique blend of various elements of Heavy Metal and its sub genres such as Groove, Thrash, and Death Metal.

Their music reflects various themes ranging from environmental to religious and socio-political issues among others.

Mass Damnation is an expression of dissatisfaction at the corrupt world we live in and at attempt to combat this through Heavy Metal.

Back after a brief hiatus, Mass Damnation is all set to bring you a chaotic night of metal and mayhem on the 30^th August 2015 alongside Zardonic (Venezuela), Coat of Arms (U.A.E), Nevi’im (Sri Lanka), Stygian Ascent (Sweden), Sacrament (Sri Lanka), Demonic Resurrection (India), Seven Thorns (Denmark), and Chase D (Sri Lanka) at MAELSTROM FESTIVAL – Sri Lanka’s biggest metal festival.

Formed in 2011, Sacrament is a Metal band based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The band's name was inspired by Lamb of God's fifth album Sacrament.

Born out of passion and love for creating music and thrashing around; Sacrament bring forth intense, chaotic, brutal and melodious tunes to the stage with their Pure in-your-face Sri Lankan Metal.

Their music is a mixture of diverse styles ranging from Heavy Metal, Thrash, Progressive metal, Groove metal, Symphonic metal, Neo-classical metal, Melodic Death Metal and elements of Baila, Blues, Rock 'N' Roll, Classical music and characteristics of Djent.

NEVI'IM TO UNLEASH THEIR SONIC FURY AT MAELSTROM FESTIVAL!

News about this years’ crushing line up for Maelstrom Festival has been creating massive waves far and wide. This is the first Heavy Metal festival of its kind to be staged on Sri Lankan soil.

NEVI’IM will unleash their sonic fury on the 30^th August 2015 at the Viharamahadevi Amphitheatre; an iconic venue known for many historic Rock and Metal open air events that have taken place in Colombo, such as Peace Rock, As I Lay Dying live in Sri Lanka, Red Festival, Rock Meets Reggae, Tribute To The Gods, TNL Onstage, and many more such events.

The festival will feature a plethora of international acts consisting of Zardonic (Venezuela), Demonic Resurrection (India), Stygian Ascent (Sweden), Coat of Arms (U.A.E), Seven Thorns (Denmark), and the finest local acts.
